Applications for a Sasol bursary close on 29 February

Are you a bright learner, wanting study Engineering or a Bcom...try your luck and apply for a Bursary from Sasol. Usually they receive about 5000 applications a year, but who knows ?

80 to 100 bursaries are available for candidates with an exceptional academic record who  participate in extra curricular activities. Preference given to those  from disadvantaged backgrounds

·         The bursary covers 100% of the fees + accommodation + food + R8000/year a book

All individuals writing matric this year must have got these marks in Grade 11
  • A minimum of a Level 4 for English First Language or a Level 5 for English Second Language in Grade 11.
  • A minimum of a level 7 for Mathematics and level 6 in Physical Science in Grade 11 if you are applying for a bursary in one of the engineering.
  • A minimum of a level 6 for Mathematics and level 5 in Physical Science if applying for a bursary in engineering Science.
  • A minimum of a level 5 in Mathematics if you aaplying for B com Degrees, except for B com Accounting where Mathematics has to be a minimum of level 6
  • Applications must be for full time studies towards an academic degree at an accredited South African university. No bursaries are awarded for studies at a university of technology or college.
  • Applicants must be South African citizens with a valid ID number.
Applicants who have passed matric our their first year at Varsity
1.     A minimum of a D symbol for English First Language HG or a C symbol for English Second Language HG in Grade 12. (The majority of academic textbooks used at university are imported from overseas and are thus published in English).
2.     A minimum of a A symbol for Mathematics HG and B Physical Science HG in Grade 12 if you are applying for a bursary in one of the engineering or science fields.
3.     A minimum of a C symbol for Accounting HG in Grade 12 if you are applying for B Com Accounting.
4.     If you are already studying towards the degree course for which you are applying for a bursary, you must have passed all courses for which you have registered at the university for the study period up to now.
5.     Applications must be for full time studies towards an academic degree at an accredited South African university. No bursaries are awarded for studies at a university of technology or college.
6.     Applicants must be South African citizens with a valid ID number.
7.     All applicants invited to attend an interview must be willing to undergo psychometric testing.
