bursaries for Engineering


There are many bursaries for Engineering and you cannot apply for all !

If you have good marks, especially  in Math and Physics (above 70 %), you have a chance to get a bursary for 2013 and the sooner you apply, the better.

It is easier to  do it through organization which manage engineering bursaries from different companies

Only applications from South African citizens studying at public educational institutions will be considered. The main criteria used in the selection of successful applicants are financial need, academic potential and career-oriented study programmes.


ELB Educational Trust The Trust provides bursaries and scholarships to historically disadvantaged South Africans pursuing degrees in engineering. 

The following is our selection criteria:



1.       Be a historically disadvantaged South African

2.       Gain admission at a recognized institution for an engineering degree program (we have established excellent working relationships with the engineering faculties of Wits and Pretoria)

3.       If a student pursues mechanical engineering the scholarship is offered from year 1 of studies otherwise year 2.

4.       Academic performance is key to getting the scholarship and keeping it
