Transnet Engineering Apprenticeship : apply by March 3

The School of Engineering has well-established and reputable training institutions located nationally within Transnet Engineering’s various centres and depots. The School offers apprenticeship programmes that span a period of 18-36 months, divided into 3 phases. The programmes are open to successful Grade 12 learners . On completion of the respective trade curricula, the students are offered the opportunity to undergo a trade test. We are offering comprehensive bursaries to students who are South African citizens who are considered to be youths under the age of 35 to be trained for the market/country for three years, in order to qualify as Artisans. Trades offered Wagon Fitter, Millwright, Electrical Fitter, Welder and Electrician. Please also indicate your Race, Gender, Disability & ID number on your CV for employment equity purposes. Employment equity target: Female of all races Position outputs: • Theory, practical training and on-the-job training • Summative and formative assessments. Minimum requirements: A Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science/Grade 12 Technical Matric with Maths and any trade theory/N3 to N6/NV Certificate L3. Skills and attitude: • Commitment • Dedication • Time management skills • Attention to detail • Good listening skills • Results orientation.
